Student Research Assistants and Theses

HLRS is closely connected to the University of Stuttgart by the Institute of High-Performance Computing (IHR).

• like to work as a student research assistant or
• if you are looking for a student or final thesis.

There always is work in our research in High-Performance Computing and in related domain specific questions in engineering. However, we are open to your own suggestions and prior work.

Non Disclosure Agreements Some of the final theses we supervise are industrial ones with a business critical need for secrecy. We often can account for that with a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Ideal candidates have a background in engineering or computer science and have a strong interest for programming and HPC systems.

Furthermore,

• experience
  • in C++, C or FORTRAN,
  • OpenMP and MPI,
  • in Python or Julia,
  • Bash and Linux in general,
• fluent English in writing and speaking,
• curiosity, and
• perseverance

are beneficial.
